Work with the Creator of MASTR Productions

Jon Linger is the founder, owner, and lead mix engineer of MASTR Productions music studios. Jon started his music journey at the age of 5, playing classical piano recitals and continuing to perform for his classmates all throughout his formal music education career. Jon picked up the saxophone at the age of 10, and attended St. John’s Preparatory school where he joined as many jazz performance classes as he possibly could. Jon then went on to study music performance at St. Michael’s college, and double majored in business. With tenor saxophone as his main instrument, Jon toured New England with various funk bands.

When Jon was introduced to the studio side of music, he was inspired by the possibilities (and the fun) of making flawless music. Previously, given Jon’s upbringing in a classical and jazz setting, practicing for perfection was a primary focus. In a studio environment, creativity becomes the primary focus.

Jon founded MASTR Productions in late 2017, and has parabolically grown his studio team and his music footprint ever since.

Jon picked up on Boston’s demand for hip-hop studios, and made the jump from jazz to 2018/2019 gang / street rap. This allowed him to leverage his knack for tech, build a fantastic recording setup, and provide high-quality vocal recording to the North Shore of Boston for years.

Jon now resides in southern California, and works remotely with recording engineers and artists around the world.
